Marinated carrot salad ("Khizou mchermel")

The Moroccan marinated carrot salad can be eaten hot or cold, in winter or in summer and it is a recipe to know! Very quick to make, it will be perfect for an aperitif or for an appetizer in your menu:


  • 250g carrots
  • 3 crushed garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 1/4 tsp cumin (to taste)
  • Finely chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper


  • Peel and cut your carrots into small rounds or small pieces
  • Steam your carrots
  • Drain and place your carrots in a skillet over low heat
  • Add the oil, spices and parsley while mixing gently
  • Serve this salad hot or cold

*We used the medium-sized AGADIR bowls, available on the LAOUNE store , to serve this salad!
