The Moroccan mallow leaf salad recipe is perfect as a starter! It takes a little more time to prepare than a classic salad, but it's definitely worth it:
Ingredients :
- 2 bunches of mallow leaves*
- 5 crushed garlic cloves
- 1/2 tea glass of olive oil
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp sweet pepper
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 bowl of chopped parsley and cilantro
- 1 candied lemon
- 50g of red olives
- Lemon juice
- Salt
Preparation :
- Clean and rinse your mallow leaves
- Drain and chop finely
- In a couscoussier, steam them for 20 minutes
- Arrange them in a frying pan and add the olive oil, cumin, peppers, salt, garlic, parsley and coriander
- Fry everything over low heat for 10 minutes then add the lemon juice
- Decorate with olives and candied lemon
- Serve this salad warm or cold
We used the small TANGER aperitif bowls, available on the LAOUNE store , to serve these olives!
